Do I need a referral to see you?

No. Every exam at The inFURmary is led by a boarded specialist in general practice, and you can book directly with us.

What does “boarded in general practice” mean?

Most boarded specialists focus on one narrow area, like cardiology or surgery. Our doctor is boarded in general practice which means advanced, master-level training across the full spectrum of medicine for dogs and cats.

Are you an independent practice?

Yes. We’re locally owned and independent, not corporate. That means no one tells us how long to spend in an exam or what treatments to recommend. Decisions here are based on what’s best for your pet.

How much is an exam?

Our exam fee is $82. We’re transparent about pricing and explain every option before moving forward so there are no surprises.

Do you see urgent cases?

Yes. We offer same-day appointments when your pet needs help quickly. If we ever think your pet would be safer at a 24/7 ER, we’ll guide you there directly.

What kinds of cases do you treat?

Everything from routine wellness and preventive care to complex pain management and advanced surgeries. Many families come to us when they want more in-depth answers without the specialty hospital cost.

How do you handle pain management?

We have fellowship-level training in pain management, which is rare in general practice. That means we can spot problems earlier and use a wide range of therapies—rehab, joint injections, laser, medications—to keep pets comfortable longer.

Will I always see the same doctor?

Yes. Every visit is with the same boarded specialist, and we stay involved if other specialists are needed. Your pet’s story doesn’t get lost here.

Do you offer payment options?

Yes. We work with CareCredit and other payment plans when needed, and we always present multiple options so you can choose what works best for your family.

Very accommodating, kind & helpful, great communication. We wanted to get Synovetin injection treatments for our dog, Juno for her severe elbow osteoarthritis while we were vacationing from Canada but we were on fairly tight time line. Synovetin is only available at specialized vet clinics like the InFURmary, requires advance prep & radioactive handling precautions but they made it work for us. Kept costs to a minimum by making use of X-rays & info provided by our regular vets. Took extra care while Juno was under sedation to look for other issues that could be impacting her movement & provided shock wave treatments to her shoulders to help improve her mobility. It takes time for the Synovetin treatment to repair the damage in the joints but Juno is doing great and moving much more comfortably now. Dr. Jacqueline, Shirley and staff were absolutely great!! 🐾
